Shakti 8 Year Anniversary Celebration
September 20th, 2025 7:00-12:00 pm
Dear Shakti Community,
It feels surreal to say that Shakti is turning 8 years old. Over these 8 years, we’ve been under three roofs, shared thousands of classes, and experienced countless moments of practice, learning, stillness, and everything in between. We’ve celebrated the seasons and welcomed incredible facilitators and friends into our lives.
You are the pulse of this community, the reason we show up with love and devotion every single day. More than a business, Shakti is a living, breathing community of beautiful, unique humans from Guatemala and all over the world. It’s a space where we’ve had the privilege of witnessing each other grow, as teachers and practitioners. Through peaks and valleys, death and birth, heartbreak and celebration.
Together in this space, we move through it all, the practice as our shared medium, method, and passion. We want to thank you all, whether you’re new or have been here since day one in the park at Tanque La Union. Truly and deeply, thank you for being a part of this community. Your commitment to the practice, your presence in the studio, and your unique self and heart mean the world to us. They are what make this community special and what allow us to continue thriving together.
🎉We are so grateful to celebrate 8 years together! Please join us on September 20 for our anniversary festivities, with community gatherings, free classes, prizes, and sweet surprises.

About Antigua
Antigua is a small city surrounded by volcanoes in southern Guatemala. The city’s cobbled 9×9 block streets are slow paced, easy-to-navigate with cafes, farm-to-table restaurants, artisan markets, and historical sites located throughout. It’s renowned for its colorful Spanish colonial buildings, this beautiful and magical city has almost five hundred years of history, with a privileged all-year-long climate. If you visit Guatemala during February and March for our training, you can expect warm, dry days, with little to no rainfall. Temperatures average in the high 70s during this time.
About Shakti-Shala
Shakti Shala was born out of a desire to create a home for yoga in Antigua, Guatemala, where people from near and far could explore and expand in their yoga practice. Our studio is rooted in the Ashtanga lineage, which is reflected in our Mysore program, Ashtanga, Rocket & vinyasa classes, but we also offer gentle classes such as mellow and candlelit vinyasa. Join our community, come discover this beautiful town, and practice with us.
