3 Day weekend immersion of practice & workshops

Join Nicole Wild for two long-form masterclasses that will complement each other in a nourishing, thorough and well-rounded way. Attend just one, or come for both to give yourself a full experience of playful and strong movement, deep stretch, mobility + bits of meditation and breathwork. These are all-levels offerings with lots of options to expand or modify as you need. 


Friday, May 24
5:30pm | 75-min. All-Levels Spicy + Creative Vinyasa Practice 
This practice will be a well-rounded, full-body practice that is strong and playful + will give a good glance into Nicole’s style of teaching for the remainder of the weekend. It will incorporate a strong vinyasa flow, options to get upside-down or play with arm balances, and some deep stretches + mobility work. 
Saturday, May 25 
10:00 am | 75-min. Creative Vinyasa + Navigating Balance Practice 
This will be a strong but approachable vinyasa class that incorporates creative, playful + funky sequencing. We’ll explore the concept of balance in various capacities, including opportunities to play with balance on your hands, your feet + in playful new perspectives. This practice is meant to leave you feeling like you’ve worked hard and learned something new, but also meant to leave you inspired + with a bigger perspective on movement patterns possible in the yoga practice. It will be a perfect warm-up for the afternoon workshop, or a great stand-alone practice. 
1:00 pm | 2-hr. Navigating Balance Workshop (Part 1) 
This 2-hour workshop will incorporate a mixture of practices all about the concept of balance. It will begin with an understanding of balance on our feet and an introduction to being on your hands in Crow Pose. We’ll explore a few arm balance transitions (flowing from one arm balance to another). We’ll then break down some inversion basics: headstand, forearm stand + handstand. You’ll have plenty of play-time, 1:1 feedback or assists from Nicole, and plenty of new material to take home with you to continue practicing! 
Sunday, May 26 
11:30am | 90-min. Balance + Backbends Vinyasa Practice 
This vinyasa practice will incorporate elements + options of balance-play introduced earlier in the weekend, as well as a new emphasis on backbends and spinal articulation. It will be a strong + bendy vinyasa practice available for all-levels. There will be plenty of options for you to expand up on or modify as you need to for your body! 
 2:30pm | 2-hr. Finding Fluidity in Your Movement: Flow, Breathwork, Meditation + Recovery 
This fluid practice is all about making movement a form of meditation. It will be 2-hrs. of feel-good flow, deep stretch, bits of mobility, pockets of meditation + breathwork to clear the body and move energy through. It is meant to drop you straight out of your head and into your body, and leave you feeling the ultimate buzz that comes from a sweet combination of movement, meditation + breathwork. It will be much more mellow than our other practices + will have a recovery focus, but still with lots of movement to get into the nooks + crannies of your body and leave you feeling really good. You’ll receive (optional) hands-on assists from Nicole, and we hope you’ll leave feeling a deeper connection to your body, mind + breath.

Nicole Wild is a vinyasa yoga + movement teacher based out of Seattle, Washington but traveling worldwide to host yoga trainings, retreats, workshops, immersions + classes across the globe. She has been teaching in the yoga space for nearly a decade, and has accumulated training across various schools of yoga, meditation, breathwork, thai massage, anatomy work with cadavers + more. She is endlessly curious about exploring all the pathways within the yoga practice: playful movement, creative sequencing, deep introspection, meditation + breathwork. She believes in the power of the yoga practice to help us live more freely and fully. There is an immense sense of freedom that can come with moving well in your body, feeling a sense of freedom in your heart, your mind patterns + your breath. About Antigua

Antigua is a small city surrounded by volcanoes in southern Guatemala. The city’s cobbled 9×9 block streets are slow paced, easy-to-navigate with cafes, farm-to-table restaurants, artisan markets, and historical sites located throughout. It’s renowned for its colorful Spanish colonial buildings, this beautiful and magical city has almost five hundred years of history, with a privileged all-year-long climate. If you visit Guatemala during February and March for our training, you can expect warm, dry days, with little to no rainfall. Temperatures average in the high 70s during this time.

Shakti Shala was born out of a desire to create a home for yoga in Antigua, Guatemala, where people from near and far could explore and expand in their yoga practice. Our studio is rooted in the Ashtanga lineage, which is reflected in our Mysore program, Ashtanga, Rocket & vinyasa classes, but we also offer gentle classes such as mellow and candlelit vinyasa.  Join our community, come discover this beautiful town, and practice with us.
